Colours are subject to stock/availability. The black text stands out best on the lighter colours of chartreuse, pink, neon pink and blue. We can print more characters on the lighter colours. In addition, we offer the darker colours of periwinkle, red and olive green. Periwinkle has been discontinued and stock is very limited.

We can print on both the outside and inside. For example, we could print your phone number on the outside, and your surname and address (as required by UK law – see below) on the inside. The printing space will depend on your dog’s collar size. We will normally print as big as we can within the available space. The more characters you ask us to print, the smaller the text.

HOW TO ORDER YOUR PERSONALISED DOG COLLAR

Measure your dog’s neck with a soft tape measure and allow for comfort as you would when fitting a collar. Please make a note of this measurement for when you call us. Please double check the measurement.
Decide which size and colour you would like to order.
Decide on the text you would like printed ON THE outside and inside.
Call us on 01983 200201 (Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm excluding bank holidays).
We will email you your order for your approval to ensure that we haven’t made any errors. Please review it and send us your approval or changes by email.

UK Dog Identification Legal Requirements

The Control of Dogs Order 1992 states that every dog in a public place “must wear a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached to it.” Any dog found without this identification may be seized and treated as a stray, and the owner may receive a substantial fine.

Even though the law doesn’t require your phone number, this is without a doubt the most important information for getting your dog returned to you. We can print your phone number(s) directly on the collar. Your name and address (as required by law) could be printed on the inside of the collar.

There are some exceptions to this order, including dogs used for emergency rescue work and dogs registered with the Guide Dogs for the Blind. For full information, please see The Control of Dogs Order 1992.
