Cat tags: Why 9 out of 10 cats prefer a personalised cat collar

Cat ID is extremely important because it greatly increases the chance of your cat being returned to you. The problem is, cat tags aren’t always very comfortable. The great news is you don’t have to use a cat tag. In fact, 9 out of 10 cats prefer personalised cat collars!

While most cats don’t mind soft cat collars like ours, it’s the stuff people attach to them that they don’t like: tags, bells, charms… We may like wearing jewellery, but cats don’t!

Also, a cat tag can get caught on things, increasing the chances of your cat losing both its collar and tag. So while a cat collar and tag may cost the same as one of our personalised cat collars, you may have to replace them more often.

With a personalised cat collar (printed with your telephone number), there’s no need for a cat tag to annoy your cat or get caught on things. Happy cats!

OK, we didn’t actually survey cats (9 out of 10 cats don’t like to be surveyed). This is based on 15 years of selling personalised cat collars. Many customers whose cats wore a collar and tag were having problems with the cat losing or removing the collar. We suggested trying one of our personalised soft cat collars with no tag or bell attached. In most cases, the cat didn’t mind wearing it and kept it on. If we could survey our customers’ cats, thousands would agree!
